Past Shows From the Beginning

On July 20,2016 I started my online radio show on Blog Talk Radio. The name of the show is OFF  THE CHAIN. We are now six weeks into the show and with all of the podcasts and archives including you tube,  itunes, stitcher,, podomatic, mix cloud, sound, and spreaker we know have over 3600 listeners. This is amazing as this show is a five year dream come true. We have done 25 shows and the guests have been as varied and as eclectic as I am.

Here is a list and a short bio of the first twenty five shows as well as the link where you can go listen. I will be listing the guests and the shows as the appear on the show. However, this blog will get all of you up to speed.

7/20/16 The LegacyRemonda

Last July we lost our 13 year old granddaughter to an asthma attack. To say it was a shock is an understatement. It was as if a light went out of our lives. She lived more in those 13 years than most of us live even if we live to be 100 years old. Remonda left her imprint of those she met. She loved deeply and forgave freely. Her ultimate gift was the gift of her organs which her parents to unselfishly gave. She is responsible for giving others the chance to live. One could say that she gave the greatest gift. Her mother my daughter Brandy Highfield will be on this debut show to talk about Remonda and her impact on her siblings and her family.

8/13/16  You Know Him as Odd   ODD

Yep- all of you know Christopher Dunham as Odd Man – the Purveyor of Mad World Radio. As he says on his facebook page ” I am a lunatic masquerading as a functioning sane individual.” I for one can concour. Odd has been in internet broadcasting for almost a decade. That is a long time in human years and in broadcasting years. One could say there is very little that he does not know about tech, promotion and broadcasting for the masses. Odd has spent the better part of this decade honing his craft, starting out simply as an on air personality and growing his skill set and abliity until he took over the network which he orginally broadcast through. Odd revamped the network, changed its name and lineup order until he found the best possible versions for his audiences. That is not all Odd has done. He became engaged to his best friend and longtime champion of his talent. The nuptials are set for September.

Ollie Gibson– The girl who waited….. Oillie the long time friend and champion of Odd’s talents is the one who will walk down that aisle in September to say “I do” to Odd. She is an animal lover which is good since she is in school studying  to be a Vet Tech. After years of waiting in the background and being friends while trying to get Odd’s attention ( yeah he is slow like that) He finally realized in late 2015,  that Ollie was not just standing around being beautiful. They have walked the happy road ever since.

Ollie loves Odd, the show and the dream that Odd has been chasing, even though putting up with Odd on a daily basis does have its moments, she would not have it any other way.

Almost from birth, like most children, she had an intense interest in all things mysterious and magical. As she aged, her taste matured and darkened from Disney-esque fairy stories in childhood to Erotic Horror today. Evidence of this personal evolution and perverting of childhood things can most readily be seen in her Little Red Riding Hood inspired novella, Candy, Blood, and Sex as well as her recent contribution to the on going anthology seriesFucked Up Fair Tales.

In addition to writing, Hydra designs and hand-burns a line of pyrography items featuring symbols and signs from various occult and magical traditions.
