For those of you who follow me on facebook, you know that we had a hurricane the week of Oct 5th. I had to cancel several of my shows as I had to evacuate my disabled husband and several of my guests lived in the hurricane’s path. Those shows will be rescheduled. The shows I had to cancel were Keith McDonald, Melissa Pendergrast, Ann Goldfarb and Alan Gravitt. I am working on getting those shows back up.
The good news is we are back up and running. This past week I had funny woman and Author Ashley Fontainne, author David Jones, Author Bryan Way and Author Dawn Taylor and on Sat night I had the one and only DI Auger on the show. Here are the BIOS: and podcasts for these wonderful guess.
Award-winning and International bestselling author Ashley Fontainne enjoys stories that immerse the reader deep into the human psyche and the monsters lurking within each of us.
Her short thriller entitled Number Seventy-Five, touches upon the sometimes dangerous world of online dating. Number Seventy-Five took home the BRONZE medal in fiction/suspense at the 2013 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards contest and is currently in production for a feature film.
Her paranormal thriller entitled The Lie, won the GOLD medal in the 2013 Illumination Book Awards for fiction/suspense and is also in production for a feature film entitled Foreseen.
Ashley’s delved into the paranormal with a Southern Gothic horror/suspense novel entitled Growl, followed by the suspenseful Christian mystery Empty Shell. Ashley teamed up with Lillian Hansen (Ashley calls her mom!) to pen a three-part murder mystery/suspense trilogy entitled The Magnolia Series. The first book, Blood Ties, released the Summer of 2015.
Two other mystery/thriller works released in 2015: Whispered Pain and Night Court. In 2016, Ashley penned her first romantic suspense: Suicide Lake.
Her newest books are part of the sci-fi/post-apocalyptic genre. The Rememdium Series consists of Tainted Cure, Tainted Reality, Tainted Future and soon, Tainted World. The series plunges the reader into an entirely new twist on the zombie genre. The story starts with several scientists working on a cure for drug addiction. Their discovery has catastrophic events across the entire globe when the formula falls into the hands of a drug cartel.
Though I grew up near Philadelphia, I never really grew up. I preferred to write instead, and despite the fact that I always had, I was the last one to realize I was a writer. As a result, I refused to call myself one until I had something published, and in 2013, that moment came.
‘Life After: The Arising’ was my first novel, a coming-of-age odyssey embodying my devotion to realism, strong characterization, and pulpy zombie films. Perhaps it’s an affectation of my juvenile outlook, but I’ve always felt that writing – and reading – should be both fun and substantive, and I hope to bring that approach to everything I produce.
I continue to live near Philadelphia, and I never intend to grow up.
Life After: The Arising
In a scientific and spiritual sense, humanity has its world ordered, but that order slowly descends into chaos when something defies the tenets of both, leaving the events of human history divided into life before and life after the bodies of the dead began to reanimate.
College student Jeff Grey comes home be confronted by something he’d only read about in fiction and seen in movies: Zombies. Despite lungs beset by asthma and a total lack of survival skills, his lifelong desire to endure an undead apocalypse sees him unite a small group of acquaintances, but with the town quarantined as emergency infrastructure breaks down, Jeff and the rest of the survivors will have to grow up fast if they want to see a life after the arising…
Life After: The Void
The beginning of the end has come and gone. Jeff Grey and his motley crew have survived the first days of the zombie apocalypse, and though they’ve prepared for a life after the arising, the collapse of society is tearing them apart.
While Jeff struggles to confront his demons, bitter infighting casts doubt on whether his companions can survive each other, let alone the dangers of an epidemic. Just when this internal strife threatens to turn toxic, they are seized by a devastating chain of events that drags them into the world they’d hoped to avoid; the undead may be a grave enemy, but nothing is more terrifying than the unknown. With time running low as his struggle to survive blurs the boundaries of good and evil, Jeff has no choice but to brave the void that lies ahead…

David Jones is an up and coming writer and author of 28 years old. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida at a young age, where he spent most of his childhood. During High school, he moved to Lake City in North Florida with his family. In his time as a student in high school, he discovered his passion of writing and story telling. After high school, he briefly attended ITT Technical Institute while majoring in Game Design, seeking out his obsession with story creation in gaming. His favorite genres include, but are not limited to, Science Fiction, Science Fantasy, Drama and Adventure. His favorite hobbies also stem from his thrill of story creating through art and movies, as well as video games.
His love for writing goes hand in hand with his obsession with story creating. He has several projects in development, and his first published work, The Autobiography of Edwin Smith, being that of a completely self published work. He is also constantly working on an adventure novel series with four ‘main’ books planned and two side stories included. He is currently working entirely on his lonesome and his beginning his search for publishers. His overall goal in life is to bring his imaginations to life in order to share his stories with the rest of the world, all in hopes of leaving a burning impression in the reader’s mind in the form of a story they’ll find hard to put down.
Taylor Dawn began writing as an item to check off her bucket list. She resides in the southernmost part of Illinois, right on the mighty Mississippi river. She enjoys the quiet country life with her husband, son and the many farm animals that make up the rest of the family. Deciding that farm life was just a little too mundane, Taylor began writing romance and fantasy to liven things up, so far so good. Before starting her writing career, Taylor entered the field of cosmetology. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found sitting around a table making people laugh. She has always wanted to be a standup comic. She loves pulling practical jokes, dresses up in a costume every Halloween and believes that dancing is the key to a happy life (even if you aren’t a good dancer). She believes that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously, we will never get out alive anyway. More than anything, she is a kid at heart, she doesn’t believe in bedtimes, eating everything on her plate, or having ice cream only for dessert. Her favorite quote is by Dr. Seuss…”Why fit in, when you were born to stand out.”
The DI AUGER project is an Electronic, Industrial, Goth Rock hybrid musical endeavor, self-defined as NEO INDUSTRIAL GOTHIC ROCK. It is the brainchild of Artist/Musician Chris Lefort. It can be best described as a lyrically driven construct of industrial rhythms, fused with underlying classical melodies, churning guitar riffs, and theatrical Punk-like vocals. The result can be, at times, hypnotic, haunting, angry, and often full of dread.
Classically trained as a pianist and formerly trained on percussion Chris’ tastes were drawn to the darker musical motions of bands like “Black Sabbath” at a very early age. Influences expanded and evolved and many remain to this day. Major inspiration continues from artists and groups such as Wendy Carlos, Skinny Puppy, Current 93, Basil Poledouris, Slayer, The Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy, and Claudio Simonetti’s GOBLIN.
BLACK SWANS AT DAWN represents DI AUGER’S seventh independent release, and third full length album through his production studio CRAWLSPACE PRODUCTIONS.
Links to DI AUGER’s music can be found all over the internet for download and streaming, and availability is expanding rapidly. DI AUGER is available via iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify and a multitude of other platforms.
Currently, CD BABY, BANDCAMP, SOUNDCLOUD and YOUTUBE offer a fair sized collection of DI AUGER’s works to date.
